Season One: 1951- 1952
- The Human Bomb: An ex-convict plans to take his grudge on the city of Los Angeles out on city hall, where he has hidden a bomb in his clothing and plans to detonate it if his exact demands aren't met within a half hour.
- The Big Actor: The search for stolen prescriptions from a local hospital leads to a Hollywood actor who has become addicted to heroin.
- The Big Death: The hunt for two escaped murderers – known for being bloodthirsty for revenge – has Friday and new partner Jacobs on a frantic search before they strike again.
- The Big Mother: The trail of the kidnapping of a newborn baby leads to a grieving mother who had recently lost her own baby.
- The Big Cast: A young man cooly and calmly denies his involvement in the death of a missing man. Friday is determined to crack the man's rock-solid story through relentless questioning.
- The Big Speech: Friday and Jacobs investigate a heist involving thousands of dollars of prescription medications after a pharmacist is found brutally beaten.
- The Big Parrot: The bodies of a rich couple and their pet parrot are found after their house is burned to the ground after a robbery. The detectives search for answers.

- The Big Phone Call: A jeweler's claim that he was robbed doesn't jibe with Friday when he reviews his income statements. The man keeps trying to contact his wife for help, but is repeatedly unable to reach home.
- The Big Casing: Murder or suicide? That's what Friday and Jacobs have to determine when they are called to an apartment where a young man reports the death of his wife.
- The Big Lamp: After a safe burglar is acquitted in connection with a big heist, Friday and Jacobs bide their time until the crook regains his courage to strike again. This time, the officers are ready with a new plan to make sure he doesn't get away with his crime twice.
Season Two: 1952- 1953
- .22-Rifle For Christmas: Friday and Smith go on a frantic search for a pair of young boys who have gone missing in the days before Christmas. Also missing: a .22-caliber rifle, which one of the boys' fathers had hoped to give his son as a Christmas present.
- The Big Church: A lonely woman has been receiving threatening letters from an unknown stalker. As the letters become more salacious, suspicion turns to a middle-aged man who attends the same church she recently joined. Is there a predator within the ranks of a respected church, or will Friday and Smith find there is much more to the story?
- The Big Barrette: A beautiful 21-year-old woman is found beaten to death and there are virtually no clues ... except for a missing rhinestone that fell loose from a barrette. The trail hits several dead-ends but another attempted strongarm robbery involving a young, petite woman may finally lead to some answers.
Season Three: 1953- 1954
- The Big Hit-and-Run Killer: A bakery delivery truck is involved in a deadly hit-and-run accident. The bakery owner tells the detectives that a man named Paul used the truck but the initial leads go nowhere. Will the driver be found or the bakery owner be left holding the bag?
Movie (September 4, 1954)
- Dragnet (1954): Sergeant Joe Friday and Officer Frank Smith hunt down the killer of a mobster, Miller Starkie by investigating Max Troy, the 2nd in Command.
Season Four: 1954- 1955
- The Big Present: A burglar has hit local grocery stores, and the only clues Friday and Smith have to go on are that the suspect can fit through a small window pane that's been removed ... and that he leaves a milk bottle at the scene of the crime.
- The Big Rod: The detectives search for a hit-and-run driver that killed a pregnant woman. Once it is determined a souped-up car may have been involved, Friday and Smith get help from the National Hot Rod Association in the search for the driver responsible.
- The Big Family: Friday and Smith investigate a possible suicide of a successful businessman with seemingly everything going for him. But the investigation reveals there's much more to the story than meets the suicide note.

The Big Counterfeit: Counterfeit bills are circulating in the community and the bills need to be confiscated for evidence ... or do they? Friday and Smith suspect something is very wrong when the identity of the police officer at work taking the money isn't on the police roster and set out to stop this imposter.

1966 TV Movie
- Dragnet 1966: Originally the pilot for the 1960s series but was not broadcast until January 27, 1969, during the third season. Joe Friday and Bill Gannon are called back from vacation for a missing persons case, two female models and a war widow have vanished-having been last seen by a person named J. Johnson. While investigating, Friday and Gannon find a dead man in a vacant lot that may be J. Johnson. A side story involves Gannon is trying to avoid a forced retirement due to health concerns.
Season One: Dragnet 1967
- "The LSD Story": A new drug called lysergic acid diethylamide or more commonly known as LSD has turned up in Los Angeles, as Sergeant Joe Friday and Officer Bill Gannon are working with limited resources to try and stop LSD from getting into the hands of Juveniles. Originally aired January 12, 1967.
- "The Big Explosion": Friday and Gannon investigate after explosives and detonation devices were stolen from a consumers storage area. The devices lead to the home of a Neo-Nazi who has big plans for the explosives. Originally aired January 19, 1967.
- "The Kidnapping": Miss Ohrmund, the personal assistant of a wealthy business owner named Adele Vincent, has come to a bank as Adele Vincent has been kidnapped and the kidnapper is requesting $75,000 for the safe release of Adele Vincent. Originally aired February 9, 1967.
- "The Interrogation": A rookie police officer, Paul Culver,who is working undercover, has been identified by a liquor store owner as an armed robber who held him up but Culver swears he is innocent. Originally aired February 9, 1967.
- "The Masked Bandits": Four men wearing full red face masks have been holding up cocktail lounges and driving away in an old red Cadillac. A tip from a waitress locates a juvenile who is part of the robberies with Friday and Gannon hoping to get more information from him to find the rest of the masked men. Originally aired February 16, 1967.
- "The Bank Examiner Swindle": Elderly people are being cheated out of their savings by two men who pose as bank examiners, saying that they are trying to catch crooked tellers. Originally aired February 23, 1967.
- "The Hammer": An apartment manager named Alex Troy had been beaten to death with a hammer. The clues at the scene point to a person named 'Fred' that was playing cards with the victim at the time of his death. Originally aired March 2, 1967.
- "The Candy Store Robberies": A person has been robbing candy stores that are named Rachelles. One unique detail is the robber never held up the same Rachelles candy story twice. Originally aired March 9, 1967.
- "The Fur Job": A warehouse full of high quality furs were stolen from a salesman's vault. After getting a tip that the thieves are looking to sell the furs, Friday and Gannon go undercover to be the buyers. Originally aired March 16, 1697.
- "The Jade Story": A woman has reported that a thief broke into her home and stole her jade jewelry worth at least $200,000. As Friday and Gannon start to investigate, they start to suspect that the woman hasn't been telling the full truth about the burglary. Originally aired March 23, 1967
- "The Shooting": An patrol officer is shot during a traffic stop. As Friday and Gannon start to investigate they discovered the people who shot the officer had just robbed a liquor store when the office was shot. However, issues arise as the officer cannot remember the shooting. Originally aired March 30, 1967
