This chapter contains examples of:

• Battle in the Center of the Mind: The Halidom party and Jinlorda enter Nedrick's mindscape to assist him in getting Bahamut under control. They do it again to help Zethia get rid of an interference with her Bahamut pact.
• Call-Forward: The end of the chapter has Euden's party be sent off to aid in Grams after being reported of Satan attacking, leading up to the second part of Faith Forsaken.
• Exact Words: Nedrick only accepts Euden's agreement to abandon his plans to give everybody the power of shapeshifting in exchange for their help if he can provide an alternative plan with fewer casualties, doing so under the belief that no other plan could be made. Fortunately, he realizes there is another potential way and is more willing to cooperate after getting Bahamut under control from within.
• Fading Away: This is what happens to Audric once he reveals himself to be Aurelius, or, actually, Aurelius in another timeline. Leave it to him to explain the rest...
  Audric: I employed some rather forceful means to remain here, but they have reached their limit, and I am now being expunged from this world.
  Zena: But you will simply return to your original world now, yes?
  Audric: Alas, I have severed my bond to my original world. Dissolution is the fate which awaits me now.
  Zethia: There must be something we can do!
  Audric: Do not trouble yourself. In truth, I should have died along with my world.
• Suddenly Shouting: Once Notte learns of Jinlorda's plan to separate their souls from their bodies in order to get inside Nedrick's head.
  Notte: So I may not be a medical professional, but I'm pretty sure separating a spirit from a body IS HOW YOU KILL SOMEBODY!
• "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Euden calls out Nedrick for not actually trying to stop the Progenitor from wreaking havoc on the world as they know it.
  Euden: YOU'RE the one who doesn't see the stupidity of your actions, Nedrick! You say our desire to fight the Progenitor without harming people is pretty words, and maybe that's true... But those pretty words ARE possibility! The ultimate possibility is to say, "I wish this is how things were." You're trying so hard to protect possibility from the Progenitor, yet you turn around and deny it in the same breath! It's madness! Don't you see that?!
• You Are Not Alone: Finding out Nedrick's backstory and seeing Nedrick attempt to gain full control of Bahamut on his own gets Euden to let him know that he doesn't have to act alone that accepting partnership doesn't make one weak. This allows Nedrick to gain an acceptance that allows him to complete his pact.
