With the Dyrenell empire on the move to wipe every dragon out, the lands that the dragons protected begin to wither away. Euden's crew does what they can to stop the destruction. Meanwhile, Chelle reveals to Empress Zethia that she had found androids that could turn the tide in their favor.
Emile steals the controls with interest of using the androids to get people to recognize him.
This chapter contains examples of:
- A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Emile activates Laxi and Mascula with the intent on them fighting for him. Instead, Mascula starts stealing weapons due to not wanting any violence, while Laxi goes on a murderous rampage, killing indiscriminately.
- Body Horror: Wyrmscale is detailed in the book Phares reads. Besides the scaly skin on his body, Phares will someday turn into a dragon, but his body will not handle it and he will die painfully.
- Breaking Old Trends: This is the point when Interludes were added into the story one month after the Chapter's release. This chapter would also be the last time an original DAOKO song would be used.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Mascula offers to have his heart placed inside Laxi in order to restore her sense. Instead of killing him though, this results in the two androids sharing one body.
- Just Between You and Me: The attack on the church was all just for Harle to get Elisanne alone and reveal the secret he learned.
- Xanatos Gambit: Emile stealing the controls to the android was all a part of Chelle's plan. Not only that, she was interested in seeing whether Emile would succeed or if Euden would.
