Recap / Doctor Who Lockdown Doctors Assemble

Go To

With both himself and the Earth in danger, the Fourth Doctor contacts his other selves over the TARDIS telepathic circuits for help... if they can stop bickering long enough and concentrate, that is.

  • Anti-Climax: Lampshaded. The Sixth Doctor saves the day by adding a button to the First Doctor's TARDIS that will wipe the alien from the TARDIS' telepathic buffers.
    Four: Oh that's marvellous.
    Eight: Bit of an...
    Five: Anti-climax.
Twelve: You'll get used to them with age.
  • Batman Gambit: Six knew his other selves would argue with each other long enough to give him time to save the day.
  • Catchphrase:
    • Three suggests "reversing the polarity of the neutron flow."
    • Ten greets his other selves with: "What? What? I'm sorry, ''what?!" He later drops an "allons-y!"
    • Eleven sulks over Three recruiting everyone not wearing a bow tie to his team. "Bow ties are cool!" He also adds "Geronimo!"
  • Cuteness Proximity: Six appears to be rather distracted during the telepathic call, contributing only photos of cats. Subverted, as these turn out to be vital to his plan to save the day.
  • Diegetic Soundtrack Usage: The show's theme song is played by Two and Seven on the recorder and spoons, respectively.
  • The Disease That Shall Not Be Named: Four mentions that the Earth is vulnerable to attack because humans are currently "occupied by a terrible crisis", but does not elaborate on what that crisis is.
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: The TARDIS' telepathic circuits apparently work an awful lot like Zoom.
  • Funny Answering Machine: When the Doctors first try to page Six, they get a pompous reply from his answering machine.
  • Only Sane Man: The War Doctor arrives to the group call late, and receives no disdain from any incarnation and manages not to tick off the other Doctors (anymore than the others, that is). Ironically, this is the one Doctor (who no longer uses that title) that does some very terrible things. However, it's the young version, so he may have yet to do anything mortifying.
  • Other Me Annoys Me: Everyone. It takes Four until halfway through the short to actually get to explain the danger, because the rest of them are too busy bickering. It ends up being weaponized by the Sixth Doctor to save the day.
  • Shipper on Deck: An odd case where someone ships themselves. Upon their typical bickering, Thirteen comments she is coming to Two and Three's wedding, leaving Three flabbergasted, while Two just laughs it off.
  • Speech-Centric Work: Each Doctor appears only as a publicity still on the TARDIS monitor (concealing the fact they're all being portrayed by impressionists), leaving the plot to be conveyed by their dialogue. And cat photos.
  • Totally Radical: Thirteen litters her speech with phrases like "Hashtag Satire" and "OK Boomer", to the irritation of her other selves.
    Six: Fam? Fam?! ''FAM?!"
