Better the Devil You Know: Tom is faced with the choice to either vote out Ellie, who he openly doesn't like and wants gone, or Lake, who he just found out has been trying to convince the girls to vote him out over Aiden. He ultimately chooses to vote out Lake, but he states in a confessional that it isn't because he fell for Ellie's bluffs. He knows Ellie only wanted to keep him around to keep Cyan Team strong, but Lake was actually gunning for him.
Call-Back: Riya is afraid of scuba diving as a result of her bad experience doing it in the finale of Season 2.
Honor Before Reason: Lake refuses to vote for her friend Aiden, going against Ellie's plan. This leads to Ellie betraying her by throwing her under the bus to Tom and getting her voted out.
Miriam, of all people, tricks Ellie, Gabby, Tess and Lake into following her towards the cave where the chest is located, only for Miriam to lead them in the wrong direction.
Understanding that Lake will always choose Aiden over her alliance with the other girls from the Cyan Team, right before the votes are cast Ellie tells Tom that Lake has been trying to convince the other three girls to vote for Tom (which is an half truth, Lake wanted the alliance to vote for Tom because the only alternative that was offered was eliminating Aiden, which Lake didn't want to do) and also says that it was Lake's idea to create a girls alliance (which is a complete lie, it was Ellie's idea), that she and Gabby will be voting for Lake, and offers Tom the opportunity to join them, which he accepts resulting in Lake's elimination.
No-Sell: Miriam makes it clear to Fiore that by going along with Alec's plan of hindering the Cyan Team she isn't allying with her. She just wants to keep Jake safe from elimination, that's all.
Shout-Out: Marcus asks Fiore if she isn't too young to be competing in a reality show, which is a reference to a Running Gag question about one being too young for various things in Phineas and Ferb.
