Recap / Disventure Camp Give Me Some Space

Tropes in this episode include:

  • And There Was Much Rejoicing: Aiden and Tom both celebrate once Ellie is officially eliminated, with Tom cheering "In your face, Ellie!"
  • Continuity Nod:
    • Riya tries to lead the Yellow Team and is asked by Yul why she should be the leader, to which Riya answers that she acted in a space-themed show, so she knows what she is doing. This leads Grett to remind her that the last time she said that, their team lost, a nod to the events of "Strike a Chord".
    • Later, when Aiden, Riya and Jake are selected to compete among themselves in the final part of the challenge, Aiden mentions the time when Riya left him to die in "Money, Fame and Shame - Part 1" by leaving him hanging from a cliff.
    • Jake throws away Aiden's card, mockingly claiming it's just a game, with both his sabotage and words being a payback for the time when Aiden stole his woodpecker in "Gone Buck Wild!".
  • Cycle of Revenge: By the end of the episode, Tom finally gets his revenge on Ellie. He has made it no secret he dislikes her not just for her actions in Season 1, which included betraying him and making him look like an idiot on national tv, but also for all the things she said about him in her interviews. So he happily rubs her elimination in her face once she's out. The final scene though has Gabby swear to get revenge on Tom, Tess, and Aiden for eliminating Ellie.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Part of Alec's motivation to force Yul to retrieve the clue from the air vent was because he insulted Grett's appearance, saying that it is a line he never crossed with his ex-wife, no matter how much she bothered him.
  • For Your Own Good: This is the reason Tess gives for voting out Ellie, despite being friends with her. She says the game is no good for Ellie's head and bring out the worst in her.
  • Friendship Moment: When Gabby and Tess find a claw machine inside the spaceship, Tess offers to win a bunny plush for Gabby so she can give it to Ellie as a gift. Tess also listens to Gabby's worries about her relationship during the game.
  • Karmic Butt-Monkey: After Yul insults Grett's appearence, he's made to go into an air vent to retrieve a clue by Riya and Alec. After the wind is turned on, he hits his head in the ceilling, and after the wind is turned off again, he falls from a relatively big height, getting hurt in the process.
  • Moral Myopia: Gabby is hit by this after Ellie's elimination. She is angry at Tess, Aiden and Tom for voting her girlfriend out, specially because this means Tess betrayed Ellie, while ignoring that right in the third episode she happily went along with Ellie's betrayal of Lake.
  • Pay Evil unto Evil: Downplayed with Aiden and Tom. They both celebrate Ellie's elimination, Tom cheering happily and Aiden taunting Ellie that her Villains Alliance didn't save her. While this might seem harsh to anyone else, Ellie has constantly been targeting both of them and trying to use them to add fuel to the misunderstanding between them and Jake for her own amusement and got Aiden's best friend Lake eliminated. So nobody can say she didn't have this coming.
  • Space Episode: A subversion. This episode's challenge takes place in a spaceship, and after all the contestants get in, the ship's movement and the background used to show it (which, in-universe, could've been put there through editing) suggest that they are really in space, but after the three teams escape the ship, they are shown to still be in the same place of Camp Tipiskaw.
