Go To

Color of the Wind is the 16th Volume of Disney Sing-Along Songs. Hosted by Ludwig Von Drake and it's inspired by Pocahontas.

Featured songs:

  1. "Just Around the Riverbend" (Pocahontas)
  2. "Cinderella Work Song" (Cinderella) note
  3. "Why Should I Worry?" (Oliver & Company) note
  4. "Casey Junior" (Dumbo) note
  5. "Oo-De-Lally" (Robin Hood (1973)) note
  6. "Hakuna Matata" (The Lion King (1994))
  7. "Little Wooden Head" (Pinocchio)
  8. "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" (The Lion King (1994)) note
  9. "Higitus Figitus" (The Sword in the Stone)
  10. "Let's All Sing Like the Birdies Sing" (Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room) note
  11. "Colors of the Wind" (Pocahontas)

This volume provides examples of:

  • Mood Whiplash: Near the end, it can be pretty jarring to go from the whimsical nonsense of "Higitus Figitus" straight into lines like "You think I'm an ignorant savage" from the title song. The intro by Ludwig Von Drake (which involves him throwing his guitar at offscreen stagehands and freaking out over a diffraction, mistaking it for rain) doesn't help to smooth things over.
  • Re-Cut: The US version has the “Work Song” from Cinderella and “Why Should I Worry?” from Oliver and Company, but for the foreign releases, these two songs were replaced with "Casey Junior" from Dumbo and "Oo-De-Lally" from Robin Hood (1973), respectively. "Let's All Sing Like the Birdies Sing" was added in between "Higitus Figitus" and "Colours of the Wind".
  • Stock Footage: "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" uses footage from The Lion King (1994), Bambi, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid (1989), Beauty and the Beast, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Brave Little Tailor, Bongo, Cinderella, Robin Hood (1973), Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmatians, Lady and the Tramp, and Pecos Bill.
    • Professor Von Drake's hosting segments are from the Wonderful World of Color episodes "Man is His Own Worst Enemy", "Kids is Kids"note , "A Square Peg in a Round Hole"note , "Music for Everybody", "Mediterranean Cruise", "Fly with Von Drake"note  and "An Adventure in Color".
