The sixth episode of the third season of Dinosaurs.

Baby gets sick when Earl gives him a dirty pacifier. Fran and Earl take Baby to Dr. Ficus, who charges a fortune for modern medicine which only makes Baby sicker. In desperation, the Sinclair family follow Ethyl's time-tested advice and take him to visit Zabar, the traditional witch doctor who lives in the woods and invents penicillin.

This episode contains the following tropes:

  • Con Man: Dr. Ficus doesn't know what's afflicting Baby but still chooses to fool the parents into buying medicine from him at a higher price.
  • From Bad to Worse: As the illness starts to take over Baby.
  • Karma Houdini: Dr. Ficus receives no comeuppance for conning Earl out of $1,000.00.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: As soon as Baby called Earl "Daddy" and told him that he loves him, Earl himself knew the situation for Baby was getting far worse.
  • Senior Sleep-Cycle: Ethyl falls asleep while reading Baby the story of The Three Little Pigs. Baby impatiently waits for her to wake up so she can tell him what happens after the wolf huffs and puffs. in a later scene, when he sneezes his pacifier at her, she wakes up and says "And blew the house down."
  • Shockingly Expensive Bill: Dr. Ficus charges $1,000.00 for blue medicine, which only makes Baby sicker.
  • Through the Eyes of Madness: Once Baby reaches a very critical point of his illness, he starts to hallucinate his family as malicious killers. Sure, it's funny watching Earl and the rest of the family hamming it up as they intimidate him ("We're gonna make you wear tight, scratchy diapers, then take you to a big, scary department store AND LEAVE YOU THERE!"), but from the perspective of someone like Baby, it's downright terrifying!
  • Weird Currency: Zabar charges two beaver pelts and roast beef for curing his patients.
