Ruli helps out in her friend Akane's wedding alongside Hiro. However, several Chamblemon are camping next to the venue, where they would kidnap people, usually women, to use as mushroom farms that they basically torture for food. Ruli becomes one of their victims when she was dressing up for a photoshoot, with Hiro following suit in short order.
- All There in the Manual: The episode never explains why the mushrooms on Ruli and Hiro empower the Chamblemon but Kiyoshiro's ones weaken them, and the Digimon troublemakers themselves don't really know why this happens either. The Digimon Reference Book tells us that the mushrooms actually drain their host's vitality, meaning that determined and genuinely courageous people like Ruli would grant them strength, but a Butt-Monkey or Cowardly Lion like Kiyoshiro drains their vitality away instead.
- Badass in Distress: In a rather unusual twist from old trends this season, it's not Kiyoshiro or Ruli's friend that is the victim, it's Ruli herself and Hiro that has to be saved from the Digimon of the week. The two has successfully dealt with the worst troublemakers like Piemon or Sealsdramon, but were reduced into crying and screaming wrecks here when the Chamblemon easily incapacitate them and turn them into living mushroom logs that they gleefully brutalize for food. Notably, Ruli spends most of the episode in that state.
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: Brides are carried off to be consumed by unscrupulous individuals, amidst cries of pain from the women and ecstatic reactions from their captors. Yeah.
- Near-Villain Victory: The Chamblemon actually manage to induce a near Total Party Wipe by incapacitating everyone originally in the wedding site and almost managed to win against Kiyoshiro if not for the mushrooms on his body poisoning them and undoing the powerups they got from Ruli and Hiro's.
- Non-Indicative Name: The incident itself has less to do with brides than several Chamblemon living next to a wedding site kidnapping people there to torture for food. Granted a huge portion of the Chamblemon's victims are actually brides, but they also aren't picky about who they go after and will do the same to Ruli (who was dressing up for a photoshoot) or Hiro and Kiyoshiro, the latter two who weren't even in bride outfits to begin with and only got turned into living mushroom logs because they stood in the Digimon's way.
- Police Are Useless: The police tried to investigate the mysterious disappearances, but are at a loss when trying to find the culprits.
