NOTICE: This is a Recap page, so all spoilers will be left unmarked, per wiki policy. Read ahead only with caution! You Have Been Warned.

Combatants come in all shapes and sizes, and Wiz and Boomstick are really liking the shapes and sizes of these next two fighters: Chun-Li, "The Strongest Woman In The World", and Mai Shiranui, the "Queen of Fighters"!

Chun-Li is an Interpol detective whose father was killed by M. Bison. She trained under Gen, becoming and master of Tai Chi and Kenpo. She prefers speed over brute force, and fights with an offensive footing, pressuring her opponent with constant and rapid blows. Her greatest assets are her legs, powerful enough to kick people through brick walls. She has also demonstrated upper body strength as well; she once threw a couch at an enemy. She can throw balls of Ki at an opponent, and her move set makes good use of her legs. Though she has never won a tournament, and occasionally falls to the Damsel in Distress trope, she can hold her own and has proven herself one of the strongest picks of the SF roster.

Mai is a member of the Shiranui ninja clan. She is trained in Koppo-Ken and Judo. Mai is fast, but instead of those cowardly hit and run attacks, she goes in with singular, powerful blows. However, if she misses her blows she is left wide open to counterattack. She is skilled in feints to trick opponents, and comes equipped with an infinite supply of steel fans, which are used as both a projectile and CQC weapon. In addition, she possesses pyrokinetic abilities, enabling her to create and control fire and explosions.

FIGHT!

Chun-Li throws a ball of Ki at Mai, but she dashes under it and comes up in front of Chun-Li, landing a series of blows with her legs and metal fans which knocks Chun-Li several feet away onto her back. Mai rushes toward Chun-Li, but she gets back up and throws Mai to the ground, pummeling her with leg-based strikes. Mai retreats, and keeps Chun-Li pinned with a barrage of metal fans.

While Chun-Li is busy blocking the fans, Mai leaps forward for an aerial attack which is successful. Mai runs back and tries to reattempt the aerial maneuver, but Chun-Li gets her onto the ground and is bashing her with her legs...again. Mai is kicked by pretty far, and flees by wall jumping between two large trees. Chun-Li pursues with a similar technique. The two exchange strikes as they move up the tree, and the fight moves onto a large branch. Chun-Li attempts to end the fight with a powerful Ki attack, but Mai dodges around it, and throws Chun-Li into the trunk of a nearby tree. As Chun-Li falls, Mai engulfs herself in a fireball and performs a Meteor Move on her opponent. Chun-Li gets up, but is stunned and exhausted. Mai finishes by completely incinerating her.

K.O.!

Wiz and Boomstick conclude that while Chun-Li was a bit tougher and faster, and that her formal training served her well, she was unable to counter Mai's ninja tactics with her straightforward fighting style. The duo also concur that Mai's superior energy-based attacks were a deciding factor, and that her metal fans provided a valuable ranged attack option in fighting Chin-Li. They comment that it was a close match, but Mai's nimbleness and firepower ultimately won the battle.

Boomstick: Chun-Li has never looked hotter!
Wiz: The winner is Mai Shiranui!
