Tropes:

• Abstract Eater: The Night Hag eats people's sleep.
• Adaptation Name Change: Barney's brother's name is changed from Adam to Patrick.
• A Birthday, Not a Break: Patrick has to run from people who have been left in a zombie-like state from having their sleep stolen (including his brother) on or near his birthday.
• Episode of the Dead: The Night Hag's victims act like zombies (specifically the fast-moving kind), chasing after people and catching them so that she can eat their sleep as well.
• "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: Patrick attempts this on Barney after the Night Hag gets him. It doesn't work.
• Not Even Bothering with an Excuse: Barney catches Courtney about to gouge out Pugsley's eyes, to which she says "It's exactly what it looks like".
• Oh, Crap!:
  • Barney when he realises his brother is at the sleepover.
  • Patrick when he sees that the kid's earlier attempt to summon the Night Hag worked.
• Summon Bigger Fish: To get the Night Hag to leave, Courtney tells Pugsley that he must summon a Day Hag. It turns out the two are sisters who haven't seen each other in a long time, and they have some catching up to do. The Night Hag's victims are either restored by the Day Hag, or just released from her control.
• Technically-Living Zombie: People who have their sleep eaten by the Night Hag are rendered feral from the rapid onset of extreme sleep deprivation, and become her thralls.
