House of Legends is the 41st Episode of DC Universe Online
Synopsis:
A mysterious threat is emerging into the Multiverse. A threat so big that the heroes and villains are approached by the Monitor and Tempus Fuginaut to cease their fighting and work together to save the Multiverse. What is the mysterious threat that's urging both sides to unite?Tropes Used in this Episode:
- Big Damn Heroes: When confronting the Batman Who Laughs, he'll summon the Drowned to his side when you start to get the upper hand. In reponce, you'll be saved by either Oracle-Bot or Calculator-Bot, showing off the new Ally system.
- Breather Episode: This episode is mostly to introduce the titular House of Legends area where both heroes and villains can met up as opposed to the Watchtower/Police Stations and Hall of Doom/Nightclubs respectively. The only notable thing in this episode is that you battle the Batman Who Laughs, who mentions Perpetua's eventual arrival. And that was mostly to show off the new Ally system.
- The Cameo: Many heroes and villains from previous episodes make an appearance in the House of Legends. Whether to assist you or just as a background character. Even previous models of certain characters. Most notably the Pre and Post-War of the Light versions of Red Lantern Guy Gardner facing each other.
- The Friend Nobody Likes: Discussed in regards to Guy Gardner:WotL Guy Gardner: They will always hate you!
FftL Guy Gardner: Yeah well I hate me more, so I guess I'm winning! - Vagueness Is Coming: After the fight with the Batman Who Laughs, he'll mention that Perpetua is coming. However, before Oracle and Calculator try to get info on them, Monitor shuts them out in fear of her truly escaping.
