Jessica insists on a "no powers" retreat at her family's cabin in the woods, taking Hal Jordan's ring (and her own) and confiscating all of Bab's equipment. But things get ugly once the invited Pamela Isley witnesses their wanton acts of cruelty... to plants... including burning wood for fire! She stalks off into the woods to claim some Mother Nature-related vengeance upon them.

- Affectionate Parody: Of Slasher films and Zombie flicks. Ticks all the major categories.
- And Then John Was a Zombie: Hal becomes possessed by one of the plant zombies.
- Ankle Drag: One by one each of the heroes falls victim to this from the plant zombies.
- Arbitrary Skepticism: Jessica assures the others that there are no such things as witches or zombies, despite living in a world where superpowers, aliens and magic are a matter of fact.
- Call-Back: As the plants are dragging her away, Barbara calmly declares, "I always knew this is how I'd go out." She's likely recalling the two previous occasions she took on monster plants, and barely made it. It's because of Poison Ivy then and now (but Barbara doesn't know that this time).
- The Door Slams You: Happens to one plant zombie when the girls burst out the door armed for battle.
- It Has Been an Honor: When being dragged away, Barbara gives a salute.
- Last Grasp at Life: Garth does this when dragged into the lake before remembering that water's his medium. But his comeback is cut short.
- Loophole Abuse: Karen asks if Jessica should be fighting the plant zombies when she's a pacifist. Jessica replies that she's also a vegan.
- Shout-Out: When told Zombie-Hal must be completely (brain) dead, Jessica quips, "How can you tell?" quoting a quip attributed to Dorothy Parker.note
- Something We Forgot: As Jessica is driving away from the cabin, she suddenly remembers that Hal is still locked in the closet.
- Undead Author: Babs tells a scary story about a witch who nobody knows about because she never leaves anybody alive to tell her tale. The tale that she is telling.
