It’s Starlight Night, the annual holiday when all the stars in Cyberspace are refreshed for the new year. But Hacker concocts a scheme to darken the stars of cyberspace forever. He sends Buzz and Delete to stop all production of the new star circuits and take inventor Archimedes away to the Northern Frontier. With the ceremony only hours away, the kids and Digit must find a simple way to make the complex circuits and rescue Archimedes – all before Hacker turns out the lights in cyberspace!

Tropes in this episode:

  • "Be Quiet!" Nudge: Buzz does this to Delete when he’s complaining about Hacker’s plan to ruin Starlight Night.
  • The Bus Came Back: Eukie, Reeka and Professor Archimedes returned in this episode since their appearance in "Eureeka" (barring non-speaking cameos in "True Colors" and "The Wedding Scammer" for the former two).
  • Christmas Episode: Starlight Night is how the citizens of Cyberspace usher in the new year, but the holiday has a lot of the same traditions as Christmas, such as singing carols.
  • Delicious Distraction: Buzz and Delete use free donuts to draw the robots out of Professor Archimedes’ workshop.
  • Facepalm: Matt and Digit do one in unison when Eukie and Reeka tell them they don’t know how to install the circuits.
  • Let's Split Up, Gang!: Matt suggests that the group should split up, with him and Digit staying at the workshop and Jackie and Inez going to save Archimedes from Hacker.
Digit: You know, I hate when we do that!
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: This was downplayed when Hacker intended to sabotage the Starlight Night celebration, where the stars of Cyberspace are refreshed and relighted for the new Cyber year. He successfully sabotages the production of the new star circuit boards. After that, he takes over the position of the Grand Marshall or the parade. This means that he will be the one to flip the switch that is supposed to relight the stars at the end. Assuming his sabotage was successful, the action of the flipping the switch will cause the stars to go dark forever. However, the CyberSquad manages to get the circuit boards produced and installed just in time. Therefore, when Hacker flips the switch, he ensures that the stars of Cyberspace are successfully relighted.
  • The Night That Never Ends: Hacker plans to plunge Cyberspace into darkness forever.
  • Race Against the Clock: The CyberSquad has to get light circuits working again by midnight in time for Starlight Night.
  • You Mean "Xmas": The holiday Starlight Night seems to combine elements of Christmas (gift-giving and caroling) and New Year's Eve (relighting the stars of Cyberspace in a fashion similar to the countdown to the midnight balldrop in Times Square).
