Dino wants to be super scary for Halloween.

- Bedsheet Ghost: Gerdy, a ghost, dresses as one for Halloween, making her “Double Ghost.”
- Bowel-Breaking Bricks: Dino scares Peetree so badly that it makes him lay three eggs.Cupcake: Woah, he scared the eggs out of him!
- Bring My Brown Pants: When Dino scares him, Cupcake admits, “I actually just frosted my pants.”
- Drunk on the Dark Side: Once Dino finally learns how to be scary, he lets it get to his head and he goes on a rampage horrifying everyone in town.
- Failed Attempt at Scaring: Dino tries to scare Cupcake with his vampire costume, but he’s too adorable.
- Also happens to Gerdy several times when the boys are trying to teach her how to scare.
- Failure Montage: One of Dino trying to scare his friends on Halloween year after year, with no luck.
- Ghost Butler: Played for laughs. When Cupcake walks into the store to find it empty, the doors slam behind him...because they’re automatic doors in a grocery store.
- Halloween Episode: Every Halloween Dino tries to scare Cupcake and fails. Maybe he’ll have better luck this year when they meet a real ghost.
- #HashtagForLaughs: The ghost that hired Cupcake and Dino uses a lot of hashtags in conversation, befitting her Phoneaholic Teenager personality.Ghost: Hashtag, not gonna happen. Hashtag, as if. Hashtag, disbelief no way.
- Haunted House: Cupcake and Dino are called to remove a ghost from a mansion, and the house is indeed full of ghosts. However, it’s a place where a group of ghosts live without bothering any non-ghosts and the spirit they want removed is a roommate that they don’t think is scary enough to hang with them.
- Medium-Shift Gag: A realistic-looking dinosaur wearing Dino’s headband pops up at the end of the episode for one final Jump Scare.Dino: Ah, I’m sorry. That was super cheap. Goodnight now!
- Mouth Cam: We see from inside Dino’s mouth as he goes around scaring everyone.
- Nightmare Face: Dino makes a monstrous dinosaur face a Peetree to scare him after he makes fun of Cupcake and Gerdy.
- Ridiculously Cute Critter: No one can resist Dino’s cuteness.
- Rule of Three: Cupcake tells Dino that scaring people isn’t “funny or fun or friendly.”Dino: [Gasp!] The three F’s.
- Scary Shadow Fakeout: Cupcake gets scared of a shadow that looks like a monster, but it ends up having been made by some pineapples stacked in an absurd way.
- Screams Like a Little Girl: Big, tough Peetree does so after being scared by Dino.
- Shout-Out: Gerdy crawling out of the TV at Hugo is a reference to The Ring.
- Sudden Anatomy: Cupcake grows a third arm when he’s helping Gerdy learn how to be scary by holding up mirrors for her to practice different expressions.
