Rossi: "It is hard to fight an enemy who has outposts in your head." Sally Kempton.
A woman is kidnapped by her life coach, who is obsessed with positive thinking.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Agony of the Feet: Jane smashes one of Molly’s feet with a hammer when Molly spat popcorn at her.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Jane with her victims. She appears to be a kind woman who wants to “help” the women who are struggling with personal issues. However, she proves herself to be a dangerous psychopath who tortures her victims before killing them off.
  • Character Catchphrase: “Today, I do. Tomorrow, I will.” Jane uses this phrase as part of her life coach mask. She continues to get her victims to repeat it as a way of continuing the role of the life coach even when she is inflicting physical harm on them and trying to manipulate them into relying on her.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Molly had a poor relationship with her father (though he claims that he never physically abused her), she was physically abused by her former boyfriend, and she was dealing with an eating disorder. All before being targeted by a serial killer, who exploited her traumas and her lack of self-confidence.
  • Expy: Jane is one to Annie from Stephen King's Misery. She acts as the role of her abducted victims' caretaker and broke Molly's feet with a hammer, just as Annie did. There's also a strong physical resemblance between the two.

Prentiss: "There is no chance, no destiny, no fate that can hinder the firm resolve of a determined soul." Ella Wheeler Wilcox.
