North America is the ninth and final region investigated in Criminal Case: World Edition.

Encompassing the countries of Mexico, Canada, and the United States of America, North America focuses on the Bureau's efforts to prove the world about SOMBRA's existence while trying to discover the identity of the new El Rey. At the same time, it also deals with the political tensions building up inside of the United States, as the country has been divided on a debate whether they should remain or leave the Unified Nations, with SOMBRA planning to take advantage of said tensions for their own agenda.

Tropes:

  • Arc Villain: Hector Montoya, Arsenio Castillo's successor and the new El Rey who has been leading SOMBRA for the past decade while making them grow even stronger, making him the Big Bad of the season. For her part, Vice President Sarah Bennett serves as his Dragon and the one behind the rising political tensions between the United States and the Unified Nations, and becomes the Final Boss of the season after Hector's arrest in the penultimate case, conducting his plan of kidnapping the President of the United States to lead the country in a war against Russia and the rest of the world.
  • Bittersweet Ending: President James Hewett is rescued unscathed, which prompts him to tear down the wall with Mexico, rejoin the United States to the Unified Nations, and prevent World War III from happening, and SOMBRA is defeated for good after an entire season of struggle when Elliot recovers a list of every agent scattered around the world. However, Dupont performs a Heroic Sacrifice to save the player's life and isn't able to see the change he helped create, not to mention Michelle's death and Angela's betrayal still being a sore spot for the team. Finally, the Bureau splits apart at the end of the case due to SOMBRA no longer posing a threat, putting everyone on their own path for the time being.
  • Fallen States of America: One of the region's focuses is dealing with the United States being on the brink of falling apart due to a growing internal debate whether the country should leave on remain in the Unified Nations and all the conflicts surging from it, such as political assassinations against campaign leaders or SOMBRA's involvement in the whole ordeal.
  • Prevent the War: The region's climax has the Bureau preventing World War III from happening, as the President of the United States gets kidnapped by SOMBRA who in return pins the blame on Russia.
