Everything shall be revealed.
The team has made a resolution to take down Dreamlife for the crimes they've committed. They get a brief bit of help when Tony Marconi says one of his security guards has found a body by the dome. Said body is Dreamlife researcher Dr. Ernesto Vega, who has been repeatedly hit in the head with a blunt object.

Tropes:

  • Asshole Victim: Ernesto Vega scammed Louis Leroux by just taking the money and not keeping up his end of the bargain by providing information about what's in the dome, perved after Doris Black, creeping her out, ruined the forest's environment with his experiments, angering James Savage, and was responsible for conducting horrific experiments on Zoe Kusama. Zoe finally remembering what happened to her was what led her to kill Ernesto.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Despite Zoe's arrest, Jones reassures her their relationship is not over yet and he will visit her whenever he gets the chance. Plus, with the information she gave to the GCPD, they're one step closer to taking down Dreamlife.
  • Boulder Bludgeon: Ernesto was killed courtesy of a large rock.
  • The Bus Came Back: James Savage returns from Season 1.
  • Dirty Old Man: Perhaps "old" is a stretch considering Vega was 57 when he died, but he had a creepy obsession with Doris Black, who is 31. He would follow her to her quarters after work, professed his love to her, and would tell her her "skin smelled nice". Sick bags on standby...
  • Improvised Weapon: The murder weapon was a plain old rock.
  • It's Personal: If it wasn't obvious from here, here is exactly the point where Jones takes Zoe's situation into a more extreme way to the point of being restrained at the Dreamlife entrance.
  • Mad Scientist: Dr. Vega was conducting horrible experiments on people, which most often resulted in the deaths of the subjects.
  • Sympathetic Murderer: Zoe is the murderer, and for good reason: she had finally regained her memory and remembered that she was horribly experimented on by the victim. After Ernesto mocked her and said no one would ever believe an "amnesiac woman", she flew into a rage and killed him with a rock. When Judge Powell hears about it during the trial, she decides to have Zoe be admitted to psych evaluations.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: James Savage isn’t as hot-tempered when talking to David and the player character. Lampshaded by David when he says James has mellowed out over the years. Later subverted when he angrily blames Ernesto for ruining the forest, his home.
