Recap / Crazy Ex-Girlfriend S1E16: "Josh's Sister is Getting Married!"

Go To

See, when a star is dying, it transforms into a Red Giant. And if the Red Giant does not have enough mass to fuse carbon, an inert mass of carbon and oxygen builds up in the center transforming into a dense White Dwarf. And yeah, like that's my boobs. That's, that's what my boobs are like.

Written by Audrey Wachope and Rachel Spector, directed by Alex Hardcastle. Original airdate March 28, 2016.

"Rebecca is determined to get her life on track so when Josh's sister (guest star Tess Paras) asks her to be a bridesmaid, Rebecca decides to use her role to make things right with Valencia. Paula cannot accept Rebecca's new mindset while Greg, when helping someone else with their love dilemma, makes a realization of his own."

Songs:

"I Could If I Wanted To" (sung by Santino Fontana)

"Cleanup on Aisle Four" (sung by Hunter Stiebel)

"Heavy Boobs" (sung by Rachel Bloom)

  • Buxom Beauty Standard: An entire song deconstructing this.
  • D-Cup Distress: Even though she thinks her boobs look "fly in shirts," they are still a burden. After the song ends Rebecca and all the backup dancers begin groaning and aching about all the swinging that happened while dancing.
  • Fan Disservice: Lots of cleavage, while at the same time, Rebecca is telling the audience that her boobs are just "sacks of yellow fat."
  • Metaphorgotten: Heavy boobs are like dying stars.
Rebecca: See, when a star is dying, it transforms into a Red Giant. And if the Red Giant does not have enough mass to fuse carbon, an inert mass of carbon and oxygen builds up in the center transforming into a dense White Dwarf. And yeah, like that's my boobs. That's, that's what my boobs are like.
  • Share the Male Pain: Genderflipped. If you have boobs, particularly big ones, it's hard to watch all the bouncing without cringing a bit.
  • Victoria's Secret Compartment: Rebecca can hold a lot of stuff under her boobs. Also, stuff tends to fall in there throughout the day.
