Craig and his friends try to unmask the mysterious villain messing with their Heart of the Forest quest.
Tropes:
- Bratty Food Demand: Wolfgang gets angry when he is given gummy bears instead of gummy worms and he begins threatening Shawn.
- Continuity Nod: The abandoned barn where Big Red and Toman are playing darts is the same one from "Vulture's Nest". Kelsey is even spooked by the vulture that lives there.
- Failed a Spot Check: Craig's board of Red Poncho suspects has photos of four likely culprits— Wolfgang, Big Red, Roger the Bridge Kid and Eliza. After eliminating all four, Craig moves aside to reveal a fifth suspect, Maya. It's implied Craig consciously hid her from Omar so as not to upset him.
- Literal Metaphor: Kelsey spies Big Red in a dart contest with Toman, with the target nailed to an abandoned barn. As she misses the bullseye completely, Toman notes that she can't hit the broad side of a barn... which is exactly where the target is.
- Medium Awareness: When Kelsey confronts J.P. for not trying to catch the Red Poncho, J.P. responds that he's just the comedy relief.
- Never the Obvious Suspect: The Stump Kids agree that Maya is the most likely to be the Red Poncho. Omar is reluctant to accept this, as he's been trying to repair their relationship, but when he sees her with a puzzle cube, he snaps and accuses her of being the Red Poncho. And then the real Red Poncho arrives to take the cube. Craig recognizes the drones he used and deduces that the Red Poncho is really Xavier.
- The Reveal: Xavier is the Red Poncho.
- Varying Competency Alibi: When investigating the five kids with grudges against the Stump kids to see which of them might be the Red Poncho, they eliminate Big Red for being uncoordinated, and Eliza for being too lazy.
- What the Hell, Hero?: After Omar accuses her of being the Red Poncho, Maya blows up at him for thinking so poorly of her and gives up on trying to repair their friendship if he's never gonna trust her again.
