Written & storyboarded by Jason Dwyer & Angel Lorenzana

A solar eclipse causes the kids in the creek to behave in opposite ways.

Tropes:

  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: The eclipse turns Big Red into a giant named Little Blue.
  • Blood Knight: Opposite Wren doesn't know anything about science and craves combat.
  • Continuity Nod: Elder Mark is still bitter about Barry and David leaving the creek back in "In Search of Lore", as he's seen sitting on the ground with empty bags of chips around him.
  • Crazy Enough to Work: Because it's Opposite Day, Craig's plan to lasso the sun out from behind the moon will work because, by all scientific logic, it shouldn't work.
  • Credits Gag: For this episode the credits song is played in reverse.
  • Healing Shiv: Opposite Day renders Kelsey's sword incapable of doing damage. When Opposite Wren tries to use it to attack Little Blue, it just cleans her up and makes her feel better.
  • Here We Go Again!: After the Stump Trio stop Opposite Day, J.P. notices that it's a full moon and says that nothing freaky happens under a full moon. Cut to Mark turning into a werewolf as he says "Not Again!"
  • Logic Bomb: When Craig suggests simply saying that it's not Opposite Day to counteract the effects of Opposite Day, Wren warns that it just creates a paradox that will make kids' heads explode. Craig later uses this to defeat Little Blue.
  • Mouth Cam: Done when Little Blue prepares to eat Craig.
  • Not Himself: The eclipse makes all the kids act opposite. Craig becomes apathetic, Kelsey becomes cowardly, and J.P. becomes a Drill Sergeant Nasty who takes charge.
  • Opposite Day: When the solar eclipse happens it causes them to magically say the opposite of what they mean and Big Red turns into a giant named Little Blue, at least in their imaginations.
  • Swallowed Whole: Little Blue (the giant version of Big Red) eats Roger in one bite. Both are back to normal once Opposite Day ends.
  • Total Eclipse of the Plot: The Creek Kids call the solar eclipse Opposite Day, because it makes day into night. It also magically makes all the kids the opposite of what they are, creating chaos.
