Craig and pals (with Cousin Bryson in tow) enter a tournament on the Other Side Of The Creek to win a prize for Craig's dad's birthday.
Tropes:
- The Bad Guy Wins: Not only does Craig fail to get the prizes, high-res pictures of his map are in Xavier's cell phone by the episode's end.
- Big "WHAT?!": Green Poncho's reaction to hearing the King has pictures of Craig's map.
- Cell Phones Are Useless:
- Subverted when Craig's map is stolen by the King. Craig thinks he can just take it back, but the King just takes a picture with his cellphone, which Craig probably wouldn't steal even if he was able to.
- The King's Hedge Maze is in a cell dead zone so kids stuck there can't call their parents and tell them they'll be home late.
- Chekhov's Gun: Early on, Craig finds a kink in one of the hoses for the cooling station by following it along the tangle of hoses. Later, this is how he finds a way out of the maze, by keeping to one wall and following it to the exit.
- Deus ex Machina: Craig and his friends escape the maze, only to find the Champions have been waiting for them just in case. They are about to fight when suddenly their alarms for dinner time ring and they go back home.
- Homage: Keun Sup extensively references Sonic the Hedgehog, including his speed, saying he needs to "go fast", and fondness for chili dogs.
- Hypocritical Humor: Aggie spends most of the Joust mocking Kelsey and calling her a baby. When Kelsey takes her out with her sword in the last round, Aggie runs away bawling at the top of her lungs "Mom, I got a boo-boo!"
- Idiot Ball: Craig brings his map to the Other Side of the Creek, allowing Maya and the King to steal it, even though there was no advantage to bringing it there.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Kelsey uses her sword, which results in Maya recognizing her.
- Nerf Arm: The tournament's joust is performed with pool noodles, which are perfectly capable of knocking each kids off their mounts and splitting each other in half longways.
- Pet the Dog: Possibly it was just gloating, but the King does give Craig his map back after making a copy.
- Schmuck Bait: While travelling the maze, the gang find a pile of brownies in the middle of the path. Everyone recognizes it as a trap and pass it, but J.P. can't resist taking a brownie, and is almost captured by a brownie monster.
- Wham Episode: King Xavier has a copy of Craig's map, and it's only a matter of time before he attempts to conquer the Creek.
