The Stump Kids discover a cardboard bunker left behind by Carter Brown, and bring in Zoey from Cardboard City to investigate.
Tropes:
- Apocalyptic Log: Carter left a couple of video messages recording his work, hinting at his transformation. Of course, they're just him pretending to be videos, but the others play along.
- Cybernetics Eat Your Soul: Carter sought to become one with cardboard, replacing his frontal lobe with one made of cardboard. Unfortunately, the cardboard began to take over.
- Cyborg: Carter's goal was to meld with cardboard, ending up a low-tech version of this.
- In-Series Nickname: Carter's nickname for Zoey is Zo-Zo, because she stuttered her name when she introduced herself to him.
- Lost in Character: It's clear to the audience that Carter is only playing pretend, but he and the others take it so seriously, it's as if he really has turned himself into a cyborg.
- Meet Cute: Zoey first met Carter when she sought refuge from the rain in his home, thinking it was just a discarded box.
