Numbuh 3 stars in a musical as the lead girl, and the lead guy being...The Delightful Children From Down the Lane!?

  • Aborted Declaration of Love: Numbuh 4 almost confesses his love for Numbuh 3 before noticing his parents in the audience.
Numbuh 4: Please, don't interrupt, Kuki. This isn't easy for me to say. [inhales deeply, then notices the audience] ...What are my parents doing here?
  • All Part of the Show: Even as the play devolves into an all-out battle between the KND and Delightful Children, the adults in the audience just think it's still a show. Lydia even complains about the "special effects".
  • Almost Kiss: Before Numbuh 3 and the Delightful Children's characters share a romantic kiss, a very jealous Numbuh 4 bursts through the backdrop to stop them.
  • Bait-and-Switch: In the beginning, it is established that Kuki is playing the Maria character from West Side Story, while Nigel, Hoagie and Abby are playing the Shark gang. Since Wally is absent during their songs, one would assume he is playing the Tony character that Maria is in love with. Nope. Tony is played by... the Delightful Children from Down the Lane.
  • Crazy Jealous Guy: Numbuh 4 ruins the play because he thought that the Delightfuls and Numbuh 3 were dating for real.
  • Crowd Song: "We're Us and They're Them", led by the gang members played by 1, 2, and 5. Complete with "Cool"-inspired snapping!
  • Evil Is Petty: The Delightful Children from Down the Lane secretly plotted to destroy all the other actors in a Humongous Mecha just so they can win the award for Best Actor.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Numbuh 4 did not realize that everything was a play until he was outright told in spite of all of his friends singing and dancing, wearing costumes, everything being on a stage and there being a crowd of people watching.
  • Go-Karting with Bowser: Subverted, as it first seems like the Delightful Children were simply participating in the play like the other kids, but it turns out they were planning to destroy everyone so they could win the best actor award.
  • "I Am Becoming" Song: The show opens with Numbuh 3's character singing about how she's experiencing love for the first time.
  • Inconsistent Coloring: When Numbuh 2 jetpacks up to the light balcony, the one boy up there has dark skin, dark clothes and black hair. When he lands, the boy has light skin, brown hair and an orange shirt.
  • Musical Episode: The episode is about Sector V (sans Numbuh 4) performing in the school musical, complete with Broadway-esque songs and slick choreography. There are three songs in total: an "I Am Becoming" Song for Kuki, a Crowd Song for Nigel, Hoagie, Abigail and the ensemble, and a Silly Love Song sung by Kuki and an uninterested Wally.
  • Ocular Gushers: Numbuh 3 gets these after Numbuh 4 initially rejects singing the finale duet with her.
  • Raised Lighter Tribute: One of the parents in the audience is seen doing this as the Delightful Children's shield reflects Numbuh 2's lasers all over the theater.
  • Ship Tease:
    • Wally almost tells Kuki that he loves her before cutting himself off.
    • Kuki becomes overjoyed when Wally offers to sing the romantic duet with her.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The whole musical is one to West Side Story, with Numbuh 3 as the "Maria" character, the Delightful Children as "Tony", and Numbuhs 1, 3, and 5 as an Expy of the Sharks.
    • The street gang's song is essentially the "Jet Song" combined with "Cool". Numbuh 2 later quotes the former ("When you're a Jet, you're a Jet!") as he flies off on his jetpack.
    • The song that the cast dances to as they dodge the Delightful Children's lasers is a parody of "America".
  • Silly Love Song: The big love song that Kuki is anxious to sing is called, ahem... "It's So Lovey the Lovey Lovey Dovey Wuvie". It's just as gushy as it sounds. She finally gets to sing it with Wally at the end, though he gives up partway through the number.
  • Skewed Priorities: Numbuh 3 tries to do her big ending number while the rest of Sector V fights the Delightful Children.
Numbuh 4: What are you doing?!
Numbuh 3: I've been waiting weeks to sing my big song on stage and I'm gonna sing it! [she and Numbuh 4 get zapped by lasers] Maybe I can wait a little longer. [both pass out]
  • Slow Clap: Monty Uno starts one after the Delightful Children's mech is destroyed.
  • This Explains So Much: Numbuh 2's reaction to learning that the Delightful Children bribed the director to cast them as the "male" lead.
  • Two Men, One Dress: Or rather, "Five Delightful Children, One Jacket"; since the five were somehow cast as one character (they claim they bribed the director), they have to share one big leather jacket.
  • Whole-Plot Reference: The play is very obviously a parody of West Side Story.
