  • The Bad Guy Wins: The Senior Citizen Squad manage to steal the shipment of tapioca pudding. However, it's played with in the fact that Sector V are more than happy to give it to them.
  • Cassandra Truth: When Numbuh 2 is momentarily attacked by the Senior Citizen Squad before they retreat, the rest of Sector V comes just as they leave. When he relays what happened, naturally, they don't believe him. Fair enough, considering Numbuh 2 embellished his story once again.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Numbuh 2 is against harming the Senior Citizen Squad because he thinks they're harmless older people, plus he doesn't want to fight his grandma. Of course, Lydia takes advantage of Hoagie's moment of weakness.
  • Foreshadowing: You know the beginning part of the episode is being told from Numbuh 2's perspective when he says one of his usually lame puns and Numbuh 5 responds "Where does he come up with such great lines?"
    • When Numbuh 2 is leaving the retirement home, look carefully at the jar his grandmother is holding and read what it says.
  • Fountain of Youth: Grandma Lydia's "Anti-Aging Cream". It lasts roughly less than 2 hours.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Grandma Lydia's honest opinion about Numbuh 2's made up stories may be brusque, but given his tendency to stretch the truth, she's not too far off the mark.
  • Malicious Misnaming: Grandma Lydia constantly refers to Hoagie by Tommy's name. It's likely that she either doesn't care or is doing it on purpose.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: The KND stop a group of teenagers from getting a truckload of tapioca pudding into town, as they believed the teenagers intended to force kids to eat it, but then have to deal with it flooding their treehouse. Then when the teenagers attack the treehouse to take the tapioca back, the KND find out the teenagers are actually a group of senior citizens after their anti-aging cream wears off. Unwilling to fight the elderly, the senior citizens create a giant robot and capture the KND, only to inform them they're just here to take their tapioca back. The KND are incredulous upon learning that they simply wanted the pudding for themselves and thus had no real reason to stop them from taking the truckload into town in the first place.
  • Tempting Fate: When Numbuh 2 continues to insist that the Senior Citizen Squad attacked him the previous night, Numbuh 4 eventually says if he wants them to believe him, he needs to give them some kind of proof. As soon as he says this, the Senior Citizen Squad blasts through the treehouse's wall.
Numbuh 4: You know what, I believe ya.
  • Unreliable Narrator: Numbuh 2 talks about how he fought off the Senior Citizen Squad and meant to throw their truck of tapioca pudding at the Sector V headquarters. It couldn't be further from the truth.
    • Done so once again at the end of the episode when Hoagie is retelling the aftermath to his grandma, with Numbuh 1 praising him and Numbuh 5 finding his bad jokes funny.
  • Win-Win Ending: The seniors get the tapioca they wanted, and Sector V gets rid of it.
  • Would Harm a Senior: Averted, as Numbuh 2 (and the rest of the KND) back away from the idea of harming a bunch of old people. Their mistake.
