The hunt is on! With Shirley, Milly, Sayoko, Rivalz, and Nunnally being deployed alongside Arcee, Bumblebee, and Smokescreen to locate the Phase Shifter in Paris. But they have their work cut out for them, as Megatron has sent in Knock Out, Springload, and the Dark Siegfried to acquire it. But Jeremiah has other ideas, regarding Nunnally and her mother..
- Batman Gambit: Beta Team uses Springload's obsession with Doradus against him, first luring him away from Knock Out with the suggestion that they know where it is and then distracting him for an ambush by having Nunnally and Milly pretend to be the spirits of Doradus condemning him.
- Big "NO!": Knock Out's reaction after a train runs him over and messes up his bodywork.
- Character Death: Springload is finally slain here, being roasted by an active rail line.
- Faking the Dead: Jeremiah tears out his power core/tracking device, so Shockwave will believe he died in battle and not know he defected. He survives since Joseph Fenette (Shirley's father) installed a backup that Shockwave doesn't know about.
- Fetch Quest: This chapter marks the start of the "Hunt for the Iacon Relics" arc.
- Foil: Jeremiah notes that he and Nunnally both received cybernetics for their injuries. However, where the Autobots were all about bringing her back to normal, the Decepticons were augmenting him into a weapon.
- Hassle-Free Hotwire: Shirley hotwires a train to use against Knock Out.
- Heel–Face Turn: After determining that Nunnally and Lelouch joined the Black Knights of their own accord, Jeremiah breaks free of his brainwashing entirely and sides with the group.
- High-Voltage Death: Springload's fate, courtesy of having his tongue pinned to electrified railroad tracks.
- Let's Split Up, Gang!: Autobot-Black Knight alliance divide into eight teams to pursue the Iacon relics.
- Alpha Team to pursue the relic in Antarctica consist of Zero, Optimus, Kallen, Ohgi, Suzaku, and Elita.
- Beta Team consist of Bumblebee, Arcee, Smokescreen, Milly, Rivalz, Shirley, and Nunnally going to Paris.
- Delta Team heading to Egypt consist of the Black Wyverns, Gino, Strongarm, Grindcore, and Sideswipe.
- Gamma Team has Ultra Magnus, Jazz, Cornelia, Gilbert, Villetta/Chigusa, Monica, and Prowl heading to Australia.
- Theta Team consist of both the Black Dragon unit and the Aerialbots searching the Great Wall in the Chinese Federation.
- Sigma Team will have the Crimson Knights, Ratchet, Wizard and Orpheus searching in the Alps.
- Omega Team looking for the relic on an island on the Equator will consist of Ironhide and the Wreckers.
- Zeta Team will consist of Grimlock, Alice, and Cera deploying to Chernobyl in the EU.
- Schmuck Bait: Springload's obsession with Doradus causes him to fall for a pretty obvious trap. Bumblebee arrives to free the other Autobots while shouting that he knows where to find Doradus. As the Autobots catch on and say they will "secure Doradus", Springload breaks away from the other Decepticons to ensure they don't "pillage Doradus", thus falling right into their trap.
- Synchronous Episodes: This chapter kicks off an arc of eight chapters regarding the hunt for the Iacon Relics, each one following different groups of Autobots/Black Knights and Decepticons, all taking place at the same time.
