Recap / Code Geass: Paladins of Voltron, Chapter 16, "The Dragon, the Sphinx, and the Eye"

Go To

Voltron’s quest to save Coran's life gets extra-complicated when they have to battle a dragon, solve the sphinx's riddles, and fight the monster guarding their prize: the Yalexian Pearl.

  • Dude, Not Funny!: The Paladins are not amused that all the crap they went through over the last two chapters was effectively a training mission organized by Coran, leading Kallen to give him a Groin Attack and the rest of the Paladins to leave him at Allura's nonexistent mercy.
  • Groin Attack: Coran suffers one from Kallen after the Paladins learn everything they just went through was a form of training.
  • No-Sell: Lelouch is forced to use his Geass to incapacitate his fellow Paladins after they are mind controlled. As Kallen has already been subjected to said Geass, she's immune to it, forcing Lelouch to find a different solution to stop her.
  • Unstoppable Force Meets Immovable Object: The sphinx's riddle is essentially asking what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. Lelouch answered correctly by saying there is no correct answer, stating that one can't exist if the other is present.
