After Scudworth makes parent-principal night mandatory in order to raise money for Cloney Island, Confucius convinces JFK and Joan to go as his perpetually absent parents. However, Abe is forced to step in at the last minute despite having issues with Joan from the events of the previous episode. Meanwhile, Frida has Cleo institute a total personality change (under the tutelage of Harriet) before she meets Frida's dad for the first time.
