Sarah: If we can't find the receiver in 24 hours...
Casey: You'll be stored in an underground bunker for so long, you won't remember what fresh air smells like.
Chuck finds a bug at the Buy More and passes it to Casey, mentioning that it was unusually badly hidden. Casey takes the bug straight to Sarah and tells her there's a problem; this is not one of the bugs he planted. A Fulcrum agent is onto the team and might have learned Chuck's identity.
Meanwhile, Morgan and Awesome both have favours to ask of Chuck; Morgan wants to check out the new Call of Duty of which Chuck just got a preview copy. Chuck refuses, but is happy to grant Awesome's request; keeping hold of his great-grandmother's engagement ring before Awesome pops the question to Ellie. Chuck gives his blessing and puts the ring in his bag.
Next morning, Big Mike comes into the Buy More to find all the merchandise gone, along with Chuck's bag with Awesome's ring inside. He's summoned to a hangar, where the Buy More merchandise has been taken and searched by the CIA. Sarah and Casey explain; 29 bugs have been found that weren't put there by Casey. The bugs are short-range and have a receiver nearby that hasn't been found. If they don't find it before whoever planted the bugs does, Chuck will be taken to a CIA facility for his own protection. A facility he will never leave.
Chuck and Casey investigate, and it seems the Buy More was crowded the previous night; the Fulcrum agent turned the security system off to steal Big Mike's marlin, presumably the hiding place of the receiver, but had to leave when a drunken Jeff and Lester broke in - accidentally turning the system back on - to steal the marlin themselves and leave it at Chuck's. Meanwhile, Morgan stole Chuck's bag to play Call of Duty, but found Awesome's ring and hid it, believing it to be for Sarah. He also took the marlin and hid it, with the ring, in the freezer at the Weinerlicious. Confused yet?
Chuck is hauled into Big Mike's office to answer questions about the robbery. From there, he sees Jeff and Lester accept a pita delivery from the delivery girl, Lizzie, they've been letching on and realises she's made 29 deliveries, planting a bug each time. He retrieves a video Jeff and Lester made of her and sends it to Sarah, but not before Lizzie hears Morgan tell the guys where he hid the marlin. She reaches the Weinerlicious just as Sarah sees the video. A fight ensues and Lizzie overpowers Sarah.
Chuck comes to the Weinerlicious to find the broken marlin on the floor next to an empty ring box and Sarah trapped in the freezer. Before he can free her, robbery Detective Conway hauls him away under suspicion of the robbery. However, in the car he flashes on something Conway says; Conway is CIA, and Chuck is being brought in.
Casey frees Sarah from the freezer and goes after the Fulcrum agent while Sarah goes for Chuck. She catches up with him on a helipad, and they share a tearful moment as Chuck begs her to, somehow, help his loved ones through losing him. Conway steps forward to insist Chuck leave now... and is shot by Lizzie, who has listened to the bug recordings and knows Chuck is the Intersect. Chuck and Sarah are pinned down as Lizzie searches for them, taunting Chuck by asking, "who's the ring for?" That's right; on top of everything else, she's even stolen Ellie's ring.
Sarah and Lizzie fight again. Casey arrives after Lizzie, but it's Sarah who drags her over the side of the building into a dumpster. The recordings are recovered and Lizzie is taken in, containing Chuck's identity and securing his freedom, but on the downside the ring fell off in the dumpster. Chuck and Sarah go diving, find the ring and race home to hand it to Awesome.
They retire to watch the proposal through the window. Casey reminds Sarah that Chuck won't be able to stay in his life forever...

- Failed a Spot Check: Big Mike manages to walk through the Buy More and into his office before he notices all the merchandise is missing. He also fails to notice it's been returned at the end.
- From Bad to Worse: Chuck loses Awesome's great-grandmother's ring, that she gave him before she died. Every call from Awesome after losing the ring makes Chuck cringe more.
- Insistent Terminology: It's not a fish, it's a marlin.
