In order to get syrup for his pancakes, Mung plants an Arborian tree. Said Arborian tree them proceeds to summon OTHER Arborian trees and Hilarity Ensues.
- Born as an Adult: Zig-Zagged: Arbor just looks like a small adult when he first sprouts up. Yet one baby Arborian is shown in the episode, suggesting they do grow up similarly to a human.
- Brutal Honesty: Chowder doesn’t sugarcoat the fact he thinks Arbor’s daughter is ugly.
- Enraged by Idiocy: When Mung explains that the best kind of syrup comes from Arborian trees, Chowder comments he's holding a seed, not a tree. Mung then flatly says to go to the next scene before he says something he'd regret.
- Here We Go Again!: Though they managed to get rid of the Arborians, the catering company never got the syrup for Mung's pancakes. Then a small Arborian tree at Mung's feet gets his attention…
- Honorary True Companion: Chowder and Schnitzel are seen as this at first, but after both refused to marry Arbor’s daughter, they’re locked in the closet. However, the Arborians take a genuine liking to Truffles, with her about to marry one of them because they made her think Mung was dead.
- Jerkass: Arbor in spades. Despite everyone going through a lot of trouble to help him with getting what he wants, he refuses to give Mung the syrup.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Endive didn’t bother to help Mung get some columns. Mung gives her payback by luring the Arborians to her place.
- Overly Long Gag: Arbor introducing Mung to his Arborian family.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: Chowder, Mung and Schnitzel trick the Arborians into leaving by disguising themselves as Arborians.
- Planet of Hats: All the Arborians are shown to love marble columns, music, sculptures and tiger-print underwear.
- Planet of Steves: Almost all male Arborians are named "Arbor", and all females are named "Arbora". Variations of the two names are mentioned though, like "Arbie", "Arboria", and "Arbor Jr".
- Repetitive Name: "Arborian Tree" is when you consider "Arbor" is literally Latin for "tree".
- Shout-Out: Schnitzel dresses as a member of Devo at one point.
- Space Jews: Arborians sound and act like stereotypical Russians, Turks or Armenians.
- Treants: The titular Arborians are this.
- What the Hell Is That Accent?: The Arborians have pretty vague European accents.
- You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: Mung has this reaction to Arbor revealing he has a wife and family, despite the fact that he was just grown.
