In the thrilling season finale of Charmed, when an encounter with the Whispering Evil leaves Macy on the brink of death, Mel and Maggie cast an ancient spell sending the Charmed Ones off on a series of epic adventures.
Meanwhile, realizing only a Whitelighter can save Macy, Harry asks Jordan and Celeste to help him do the unthinkable.

- All for Nothing: Harry's quest to become mortal is rendered pointless when he becomes a Whitelighter again to save Macy. And then Macy dies anyway.
- Clip Show: Clips of the Charmed Ones' previous adventures, including those in Macy's Dying Dream, play just as Macy prepares to meet her fate.
- Dramatic Drop: Harry drops a container full of lab supplies when he finds Macy incapacitated in the Command Center.
- Dying Dream: Macy gets one where she gets to do things she wanted to do in life. Thanks to the Lifeline spell, Mel and Maggie get to share it.
- Fate Worse than Death: Although Harry is willing to die to save Macy, he cannot jump in front of a car both because it hurts and because the odds of living without the power to help Macy are too great.Jordan: Why don't you just run in front of a car?Harry: Because it'll hurt. [beat] And what if I live?
- History Repeats: Just as in the original series, the oldest sister gets killed off at the end of the third season because the actress quit, and a previously-unknown sister is getting introduced next season to replace her.
- I Cannot Self-Terminate: The only way for Harry to recover his Whitelighter powers is to die at the hands of a mortal. Even jumping in front of a car is not an option.
- Magical Defibrillator: Celeste and Jordan use a defibrillator to revive Harry. As a last ditch effort, Celeste supercharges the defibrillator beyond its specifications. This activates the magic circle and incidentally imbues Jordan with healing powers.
- There Is Another: At the end, the Guardian tells Mel and Maggie that there is someone out there who can replace Macy in the Power Of Three.
- Vanity License Plate: Washington "CHRMD1S" for Charmed Ones in Macy's Dying Dream.
