Recap / Calvin And Hobbes The Series S 2 E 26 The Alien Huntress

Go To

Brainstorm's sister comes over, much to his ire. She proves to be a pain, insulting him, eating all his food, and attacking Jack. He eventually devises a plan to send her off - get her to stop Calvin and Hobbes.

She then goes to Radio Shack for spy equipment, the worker directing her to the toy isle, and then hijacks a car. After crashing it, she then witnesses the boys playing Calvinball when Socrates' transmitter comes in. She mistakenly thinks Calvin has the transmitter, inadvertently blowing her cover in the process.

Sheila comes back to Brainstorm's lab, telling him about her exploits. Later, she talks to Calvin and Hobbes, managing to get inside the house by flattering the former, where she knocks him out cold with a sledgehammer.

Calvin awakes a half-hour later in the attic, where Sheila reveals she's going to get the transmitter by cutting his head off with a chainsaw. But before she can, she has to deal with several people finding her, which she merely brainwashes into going into the basement.

Hobbes manages to use Socrates' transmitter to get themselves free, and they burst into the room. They manage to get her down long enough for Brainstorm and Jack, dresses as policemen, to "arrest" her.

Sheila: SPY EQUIPMENT! IT'S FOR MY SON'S BIRTHDAY! NOT FOR ME! MY SON! NOTHING SUSPICIONS ABOUT BUYING SPY STUFF!
  • Twitchy Eye: Sheila gets one shortly after the above exchange, and later when stealing the toys.
  • Unusually Uninteresting Sight: The Radio Shack employee isn't surprised at Sheila's plight.
  • Would Hurt a Child: It's debatable how responsible Sheila can be held for her actions, as she's clearly batshit insane, but she's perfectly willing to kill Calvin despite explicitly realizing he's a kid.
