Calvin brings one of his toy trucks from home to play with during recess, but Moe shows up and takes it from him. Calvin tries to figure out how to get it back.

- Adults Are Useless: Either Calvin lacks the common sense to get an adult or authority figure to help get his truck back from Moe, Calvin is afraid of what Moe might do to him if he goes to the adults over this, or the adults just plain don't care about bullying. Big picture, this is definitely the case, since Calvin's mom has told the school about Moe's bullying before in order to put an end to it, only for arcs like this to prove their attempts have been either ineffectual or non-existent.
- The Bully: Moe gets featured front and center in this arc, stealing Calvin's toy truck and refusing to give it back.
- Downer Ending: Calvin can't get his truck back from Moe, Moe faces no consequences for his actions, and future strips show his bullying of Calvin continues unabated.
