Tropes for the episode:
- Karma Houdini: Zig-zagged with Gina, who did serve some time in prison for her crimes but not as long as her husband, who she had manipulated into it, as she testified against him. The Victim of the Week turns out to have been killed by her surviving victim, and the attempt by the father of one of the victims to kill her is foiled by the CSI team.
- Manipulative Bitch: Gina manipulates her husband into collecting children for her to victimize.
