Recap / Burn Notice S 3 E 14 Partners In Crime

Go To

Michael wants to find out what Gilroy wants to steal from the covert flight to Poland. He poses as a Russian to get information from a Polish spy. Sam has also brought in a job, and Michael takes it because he needs the cash.

  • Gone Horribly Wrong: Michael successfully poses as Russian to try and get info out of Conrad, the Polish spy. Unfortunately, Conrad doesn't care for his mother's homeland; he's a true patriot.
  • Quip to Black: Used in a humorous Shout-Out to CSI: Miami (both shows are set there). Sam goes undercover as a crime scene investigator and uses this joke to scare Team Westen's suspect in the murder of a fashion designer.
Sam: Looks like murder... (Glasses Pull) ... is in style this season.
    (and again later)
Sam: Looks like the killer's plan... (Glasses Pull) ... is coming apart at the seams.
  • The Reveal: Gilroy's target isn't a what, it's a who. A world class bad guy.
  • Shout-Out: Sam poses as a crime scene investigator and repeatedly drops a line before putting his shades on, like Horatio Caine from CSI: Miami.
  • Tap on the Head: Fi knocks out the Polish spy to save Michael.
  • Why Don't You Just Shoot Him?: Fi, naturally, suggests just shooting Gilroy and having done with it.
