- Being Good Sucks: The whole episode is Bryce trying to go straight, but since this is the Brandon Rogers Universe, she is surrounded by spiteful assholes who provoke her at every opportunity. By the end, Bobby talks her into giving into her "true" self and she becomes the Machiavellian bitch we all know and love.
- Gang of Hats: Here it's revealed that in this timeline, Bobby became the flamboyant villain he is today after joining a green-colored BDSM street gang of horny criminals called "The Worst People Alive."Bobby: We lived off of lube, leather and a life of crime.
- Kick the Dog: Diane not only goes to the trouble of evicting Bryce from her home, she slaps signs saying "Poor" all over the house. On eviction day, she even orders a cop to slap the signs all over the place. When she walks into the house, she calls her jewelry "goddamn ugly", but takes them for herself anyway.
- Girls Love Chocolate: The Accountant manages to bribe Bryce when she persists on complaining about her paycheck by throwing her a chocolate bar, something that he's instructed to do by a pamphlet.
- Straw Misogynist: When Bryce goes to complain about her minuscule paycheck to the company's accountant, he claims that "science" proves that those who are "penilly challenged" (women) are worth less than men, the only exception being a woman with noticeably large tits.
- Take That!: Bobby remarks that the toxic working environment of a corporation in The '80s is not that different from being a gangster on the streets, Bobby thriving by abusing the employees.
