The Neuroi are moving south towards Petersburg, and in about a month Lake Ladoga will freeze and give them easy access to the south. Patrols are stepped up and Rossman sends Hikari, Shimohara, and Lemare to Petrozavodsk to report what they find. They soon run into a blizzard caused by a hidden Neuroi, and are forced to ditch and seek refuge after their Strike Units freeze up. As the Neuroi moves on towards Petersburg, the storm lets up and the three of them, cut off from all contact with the rest of the Brave Witches are forced to use primitive weapons and some combustible fuel to defeat the hidden Neuroi before it reaches Petersburg.
Tropes in this episode:
- Big "WHAT?!": Rossman's reaction when she finds out the Krupinsky used her expensive Orussian caviar to make some inedible purple slop.
- Guns Are Worthless: Their guns freeze up and are damaged to the point they can't be fired. The Witches are forced to use homemade bows and arrows instead, which they use to defeat the Neuroi.
- Intimate Healing: Lemare, Shimohara, and Hikari are forced to strip and cuddle to prevent themselves from freezing during the storm.
- Undressing the Unconscious: Lemare does this to Hikari so they can share bodily warmth when forced to take refuge in a snow cave.
