Kamek: Rats, I put the poison in the wrong bag. - Dramatic Unmask: Once the Koopalings have caught the thief, they remove his mask to find out that he's none other than Kamek who stole all of Bowser's beer to keep him from drinking so that he didn't have to put him to bed while he was drunk.
- Early-Installment Weirdness: As this is the first episode of the series, there are a lot of things that weren't properly established until later episodes. One such example is that there aren't as many fourth wall jokes in this episode as there are in subsequent episodes.
- Establishing Series Moment: The first scene of the series has Ludwig waking Bowser up from his sleep to tell him that there's no hot water in the shower, only for Bowser to go back to sleep at half past eleven.
- Something We Forgot: Ludwig is trapped in a cage that was set by Larry and Iggy. By the end of the episode, he is still in the cage.Ludwig: You've left me here in this bloody cage, you dick heads! I hate everyone in this wretched family!
- That Came Out Wrong: As the Koopalings are standing guard to prevent Bowser's beer from being stolen, Lemmy complains that he is bored and says that he wants to go and "play with balls in his room", prompting a laugh from Iggy.
- Who Writes This Crap?!: Upon being unmasked, Kamek sarcastically remarks "Yeah, big shocker, what a twist. Did M. Night Shyamalan direct this garbage?"
