Cam enlists the help of the interns to solve the case and keep the investigation away from Brennan, whose wedding has already had to adjust from the original venue burning down. Booth and Brennan are married in the rose gardens of the Jeffersonian, with several family and friends in attendance, including Brennan's father, Booth's mother, grandfather, and son.

Tropes

  • Call-Back: Bones and Hodgins were kidnapped and buried alive the Gravedigger in season 2. Seven years later, she reveals that it was Booth to whom she wrote her "Goodbye, world" note. Specifically, she incorporates the note into her vows when she and Booth finally get married.
  • Give Away the Bride: Brennan plays with it. She lets Max walk her down the aisle to Booth, then says to everyone that it’s not one man giving a woman to another man like property.
  • Old, New, Borrowed and Blue: Angela gives Brennan a hair pin that counts as Old, Borrowed and Blue.
  • Pulled from Your Day Off: In order to convince Brennan that the staff has the crime of the week covered they get the various interns to come in & pretend for 10 minutes to work. After she's convinced & leaves, they pack themselves up to go, but Dr. Edison (who is covering for Brennan on her wedding day, though he is getting paid) guilts them into staying and helping for free.
"Am I the only one here who cares about this [dead] woman?"
  • Running Gag: The other interns saying Arastoo wasn’t really invited to Booth and Brennan’s wedding and that he’s really a plus one due to dating Cam.
    • There's also the betting pool that Booth and Brennan will cancel the wedding to handle the case.
  • Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace: Booth and Brennan’s wedding plays with it. Aldo starts the line, then replaces the “speak now” part with “keep it to yourself.”
  • Wedding Episode: Despite a murder threatening to derail the ceremony and the original church burning down, Booth and Brennan finally wed in the Jeffersonian Rose garden.
