A food scientist's remains end up packaged inside cans of beef stew then fed to local school children. With all the girls out celebrating Brennan's post-wedding bachelorette party, Hodgins, Daisy and Wells are left alone to solve the murder.

- Because You Were Nice to Me: Inverted. Wells thinks Daisy owes him a favor for being nice to her, since he normally isn't. Downplayed, since the favor he asks is that she clarify what she means by "Dr. Brennan, dressed as a cowgirl, drinking flame shots and fighting biker chicks".
- Eye Scream: Played with. Somehow, at least one of the victim's eyeballs made it through being processed and cooked intact.
- I Ate WHAT?!: Hodgins and Oliver taste test various food products the victim was working on when they come upon a gel tube of something called Hot Bacon, which does indeed taste just like bacon which they both thoroughly enjoy and can't stop eating. They then find out that it's a sex lubricant. Cue disgust and attempts to wash out their mouths.
- I'm a Humanitarian: The Victim of the Week was consumed unknowingly in the opening scenes, having been cooked and packaged into cans of beef stew that were subsequently fed to students at a high school cafeteria.
- Laser-Guided Karma: The bully in the opening scene who stole another kid's cafeteria meal and ate some of it before an eye surfaced.
