Go To

Tropes

  • Accidental Murder: The final suspect claims he didn't even hit Manny that hard, he just died anyway.
  • Date Rape: The victim's friend was drugged and raped at the awesome party everyone was talking about. It seems for a time the victim did it.
  • Exact Words: Booth tells the suspect he can't charge him with both rape and murder, even if he confesses. And he can't: he works in homicide, local cops would have to charge him with rape.
  • Insistent Terminology: Cam insists that Aristoo doesn't work for her, but with her… in that she administers his work environment.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: Brennan asks Booth if he does this to her, but immediately concludes that that would be ridiculous because she has a quantifiably higher IQ than him.
  • Pop-Cultural Osmosis Failure: Bones has no idea what Gilligan's Island is. Booth tells her it's in Hollywood, but she knows for a fact there are no bodies of water large enough for an island in Hollywood.
  • Sarcasm Mode:
    • Hodgins and Cam when Brennan says they can't be sure the remains discovered in a locked suitcase are from a murder victim.
    • Brennan has a similar moment when she suggests to the suspect that he accidentally stuffed the victim in a relatively small metal suitcase with ketamine too.
  • "Shut Up" Kiss: Abernathy tries to tell Michelle her lying to Cam makes him uncomfortable, but she interrupts him this way.
