Tropes

  • Artistic License – Engineering: Angela uses an early form of 3D printing in this episode called an "additive sterolithograph" to recreate the destroyed skeleton. However, Angela's version uses lasers and appears to print from thin air, while real stereolithographs/3D printers need a support structure. More details here.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Ballerina Cyntha Rinaldi, played by 4' 10" Kelly Stables, is able to lift a fellow, taller dancer with one arm. This makes an otherwise doubtful Booth consider her a potential murder suspect.
  • Pop-Cultural Osmosis Failure: Cam refers to a breakdancer as a spin-on-his-head dancer. No one corrects her.
  • Speaks In Shoutouts: A street performer dressed as William Shakespeare. It's not because he's pretentious, but because he's delusional and can only communicate through Shakespeare. Thankfully Sweets is able to find appropriate quotes to get useful information out of him, as he's quite willing to help when he can communicate.
