Two women accidentally find out they're married to the same guy. Then they find out that he has knocked up a third woman. When the FBI catches up with them, they claim he committed suicide before they got there, and they merely put the body in the tub with lye. Some more digging reveals that the suicide was fake and meant to cover up a manslaughter.

- Dissonant Serenity: When Pete learns the liquid they found in that bath tub was Larry, all he has to say is that Larry owes him a lot of money.
- Distinction Without a Difference: Booth says it looks like Larry has two wives. Brennan says it's more like two lives.
- Hypocrisy: Lampshaded by Angela, who thinks Hodgins thinking she speaks Chinese is hypocritical when he doesn't even speak Swedish.
- Insurance Fraud: The victim's wife and his two secret lovers, believing he killed himself, altered the crime scene to make it look like a murder because the insurance wouldn't pay for a suicide. Booth initially thinks they're lying to get away with murder because the way they describe the crime scene doesn't match an actual suicide. It turns out the true killer tried to make it look like a suicide.
- Metaphorgotten: Hodgins wishes he could have been a fly on the wall when Booth told Larry's wives about his con. Brennan tells him he would have been swatted.
- Mr. Fanservice: Booth's first scene in the episode shows him in his briefs.
- Pop-Cultural Osmosis Failure: Subverted. Brennan happily declares that she knows what an Oscar is.
- Really Gets Around: Larry had two wives, both with children, and somehow found the time to have an affair with and impregnate a third woman.
- Sarcasm-Blind: Booth sarcastically thanks Brennan for sharing her opinions on him sleeping with Rebecca. She replies: "Sure".
- Sex with the Ex: Booth has sex with Rebecca. Then with Cam.
- Struggling Single Mother: Brennan can't understand that Rebecca would rather be this than marry Booth when she got pregnant by him.
- You Are Better Than You Think You Are: Rebecca reassures Booth that he's an amazing father.
