The corpse of a Chinese woman is discovered without a skeleton, and the ensuing investigation identifies her as a mail-order bride. The bones are eventually found in a reburial ritual for someone's son.

- Differing Priorities Break Up: Sully wants to live on his sail boat. Brennan does not.
- Matchmaker Failure: The victim of the week came to the US from China after being paired with an American by a matchmaking agency. It doesn't work out.
- Pulled from Your Day Off: Brennan is temporarily shacking up with Booth's FBI colleague Sully when a call comes in, but the body has no bones: "Dr. Saroyan said, "no bones". So, you know what that means? I'm back on vacation. No bones, no 'Bones'. Uh... I was the second bones." She heads back to the boat Sully has rented, but when a small bone is discovered Booth takes the opportunity to interrupt Brennan again.
