The murder of a young man via hay baler leads Booth and Brennan to once again become Buck and Wanda Moosejaw and go undercover at a rowdy demolition derby competition to investigate. Meanwhile, Dr. Gordon Wyatt returns to assist Hodgins in the currently-stalled Gormogon investigation. With his help, Hodgins is able to locate the body of Gormogon's original apprentice, the true killer of the lobbyist Zack Addy is serving a life sentence for murdering.

- The Bus Came Back: Dr. Gordon Wyatt. Once he became a chef and Sweets took over as the team's resident shrink, he got onto the bus. He returns to examine Sweets's old files to try and exonerate Zack.
