"It's our bounce house now, Dahlia!"

Louise takes over Rudy's birthday party, and attempts to steal the bounce house from a rival party. Meanwhile, a pigeon gets into the restaurant, revealing that Bob is terrified of birds.

Tropes:

  • Alpha Bitch: Dahlia, who refuses to share her birthday bounce house with Rudy's party.
  • Comically Missing the Point: When Bob finds the pigeon, it can't fly because it got covered in olive oil. When Linda tells him to bathe it he decides to have a bath with it in the tub instead of just bathing it in the kitchen sink. It takes Linda talking to him about it before he realizes the ridiculousness of it.
  • Eek, a Mouse!!: More specifically, a pigeon. Bob goes nuts when it goes near him.
  • Face Your Fears: Bob slowly does this over the course of the episode. Finding out his phobia is just based off an Alfred Hitchcock movie helps.
  • Jerkass Realization: It takes Rudy blowing up at her and breaking down crying for it to really hit Louise that hijacking his party and getting them all detained in the park ranger's office ruined his party more than Dahlia ever did.
  • Karma Houdini: While Dahlia didn't do anything wrong technically, she gets away with being a bitch.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Sweet, nice Rudy explodes when Louise gets him and the others in trouble and ruins his party.
  • Pet the Dog: Louise decides to make amends with Rudy by offering to do his spoon puppet play but without any actual spoons available.
  • Revenge Before Reason: Louise becomes obsessed with sticking it to Dahlia for her bratty behavior in asserting her party as taking precedent before Rudy's. Problem is, in her crusade, she essentially hijacks Rudy's party herself and gets him and all his guests in trouble for it.
  • Sanity Ball: Linda and Teddy hold this together when they explain to Bob his so-called traumatic experience is a garbled memory of watching The Birds when he was younger, even as he insists he's not talking about a movie.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Rudy reaches his breaking point when everyone gets detained at the ranger's office. He blows up at Louise for essentially hijacking his birthday party for what she thought they should do when all he wanted to do was have a puppet show.
  • Whole-Plot Reference: Bob's memory of being attacked by a bunch of pigeons in a dark room is a shot-for-shot remake of Tippi Hedren getting attacked in The Birds. Linda and Teddy even explain to Bob he's remembering something from a movie.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Bob is apparently terrified of pigeons because of a traumatic experience he had as a kid. It turns out he's remembering a scene from The Birds but got confused and thought it happened to him in real life.
