Bluey and Bingo want Dad all to themselves and will not let Mum have a smoochy kiss. They try to hide him all around the house, but Mum is desperate to spend a little romance time with her husband.
Tropes:
- Big Damn Kiss: The episode ends with Chilli finally earning her "smoochy kiss" from Bandit.. which is immediately followed by the girls gagging on the floor in disgust. Even more significant, when considering this is Bandit and Chilli's first on-screen kiss since the first season.
- Call-Back: Bandit fluffies on Bluey again.
- The fridge beeping again.
- Foreshadowing: When Bingo and Bluey declare that they're keeping Bandit for themselves forever, Chili declares "Well good luck with that." Whether this was intentional or not, it's not just about Chili expressing her determination to kiss her husband: she knows Bluey and Bingo won't last putting up with their father's gross habits.
- Growing Up Sucks: At one point, when Bandit explains he accidentally peed on his foot because he was preoccupied with pulling out a nose hair, Bluey expresses disgust and disbelief that he has nose hairs. To this, Bandit responds in nonchalant fashion:Bandit: Welcome to middle age, kid.
- Lampshade Hanging: When Bluey protests against Bandit using one of her shirts to dry his foot after he washed pee off it, he justifies that she hardly wears any of them. He's not wrong.
- Lover Tug of War: Chilli vs. Bluey and Bingo between Bandit.
- Screaming at Squick: This exchange:Bluey: Why are you hopping?Bandit: I peed on my foot.Bluey: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH-
- Shout-Out: Chilli disguises herself by sneaking up on Bingo inside of a cardboard box.
- Symbolism: As the girls list off all of Bandit's flaws and gross habits, the parents affirm that they are so. All the while, Bandit and Chili move in tandem, and the latter closes all the open cupboards as she goes. This establishes that Chili knows how to put up with her husband's quirks and flaws.
- You Need a Breath Mint: Chilli's morning breath, and that's before she has her sardines with toast.
