Tropes

  • Bittersweet Ending: Thanks to Regina, Son finally gets the internet back on. However the adults are left in a fatigued daze outside after they are unable to work through their personal problems.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Deliberately invoked by Blark on himself. Blark absolutely loathes doing the laundry but is aware that it is something he has to do. When he has nothing to wear but a burlap sack that has the words "I MURDER BABIES" written on it, a shirt that even he believes is absolutely unacceptable to wear in public, it forces Blark to finally do the laundry.
  • Heroic BSoD: Blark, Fletch, and Stacey end up laying on the grass outside in a traumatized daze, mindlessly mumbling random words after they all fail to solve their problems.
  • Parents as People: Essentially the lesson Son learns. Blark, Fletch, and Stacey have their own personal issues they struggle with just like Son and they can't all be there to help him.
  • The Scream: All the adults scream simultaneously after each of them realize that their efforts had been for nothing. Blark runs out of laundry detergent meaning he can't do the laundry after forcing himself to wear the burlap sack, Fletch's replacement wheel is the wrong one, and Stacey falls down the ladder. All of this is done with cinematic shots and music playing.
