- Hero with Bad Publicity: Hassan tells Jefferson that essentially the whole city thinks he betrayed them all.
- I Just Want to Be Normal: Grace realizes that she might not want her powers back, thinking that she and Anissa could finally lead a normal life, though the latter sharply disagrees with her.
- Internal Reveal:
- Jennifer learns about Darius being killed.
- Lauren (off-screen) figures out about Gambi playing her and confronts him about it.
- Magical Security Cam: Tobias somehow has footage of him testing the nullifier bracelet with Red. Complete with all the difference angles and cuts.
- No, Except Yes: Khalil denies being claustrophobic. He just doesn't like tight spaces.
- No Honour Among Thieves: Ishmael reveals himself to be in Tobias's pockets when Destiny orders him to help her out. He adds that it's Nothing Personal.
- Not Me This Time: While Gambi admits to Lauren that he has been stealing Prometheum, he denies taking the emitter (which was taken by Tobias).
- Old Flame: Keith Michaels, an ex-boyfriend of Lynn's and a lawyer, is introduced this episode. He manages to get Lynn out of prison, albeit with an ankle bracelet.
- The Reveal:
- The phony cystic fibrosis treatment is revealed to have been about extracting metagenes from women.
- Khalil discovers that the Looker, from Season 2, is on Tobias's payroll.
- Tobias has been working for the Shadow Board, wanting to join them.
- She's Back: After giving herself a short jump-start and then flying up into the Ionosphere again, Jennifer is back at full strength at the end of the episode.
- Ship Tease: There is clearly a bit of tension left between Lynn and Keith, much to Jefferson's chagrin.
- Stab the Scorpion: After shooting him and then forcing Red to take off his bracelet, which allows him to overcome the effects of the power dampening machine, Tobias fires his gun again, this time however at a nearby vase.
- You Wouldn't Shoot Me: When Lauren confronts Gambi with a gun, he is quick to calm her down, though she is clearly still quite pissed at him for betraying her.
