Black Lightning and Gambi put their search for Tobias into high gear, as Jefferson tries to curb Jennifer's desire for revenge. Meanwhile Tobias slowly begins to release the pods for his metahuman army.

- Mama Bear: Lynn explodes at Agent Odell in this episode, making it very clear that Wendy needs therapy and a chance to have a normal life before she'll let him turn her into an ASA asset.
- Not So Stoic: Dr. Jace is genuinely disturbed by Tobias's cavalier attitude towards his metas — including nearly losing one in a pointless battle with Black Lightning and Thunder and then punching the glass of a pod showing she's not as detached as she's previously been.
- Pragmatic Villainy: Dr. Jace urges Tobias to call Joe back when both Black Lightning and Thunder confront him, reminding Tobias that he can't sell Joe if he's dead.
- Villainous Breakdown: Tobias has one when Black Lightning and Thunder show up interfering with his meta's "demonstration".
